Augusta, Georgia, a city that attracts visitors with its unique blend of sports, culture, and outdoor adventure - is a hidden southern gem enjoyed by athletes year after year. Along with Augusta’s world-renowned Southern hospitality, IRONMAN 70.3 Augusta blazes the trail for speed, excitement, and tradition as athletes traverse through the Savannah River, the scenic Georgia backcountry, and the heart of downtown.

Athletes will take on a quick 1.2-mile down-river swim in the Savannah River before biking 56-miles through rural Augusta, take in all this scenic Southern destination has to offer. The flat 13.1-mile spectator-filled run course takes you along the beautifully shaded North Augusta Greeneway trail.  Whether you’re looking for a first-timer friendly course or a seasoned veteran looking for a personal best, this Southern gem will not disappoint.
