This year's IRONMAN 70.3 Louisville highlighted the strength and determination of the athletes in challenging conditions, with Jason West's thrilling come-from-behind victory and Jackie Hering's dominant performance.
Men's Race: Jason West (USA) stormed to victory, overcoming a significant deficit on the run, his first win since 2023, West's win comes just under a month after his fifth-place finish at his debut IRONMAN in Lake Placid. He posted a spectacular overall time of 3:46:03, West's impressive run split of 1:11:21 was instrumental in his win. Trevor Foley (USA) finished in second place with a time of 3:47:39, Ben Kanute (USA), after leading at T2 following a strong swim and bike, held on for third place with a time of 3:49:24. Foley recorded the fastest bike split of the day.
Women's Race: Jackie Hering (USA) dominated the women's field, securing the victory with a time of 4:16:26. Hering took the lead early in the bike segment and maintained her position throughout the rest of the race. Gabrielle Lumkes and Jeanni Metzler rounded out the podium, finishing in second and third place respectively.
