Surrounded by the Boise Mountains, the IRONMAN 70.3 Boise race kicked off in the pristine waters of Lucky Peak Reservoir, with a 1.2-mile swim starting and finishing in Barclay Bay. Once out of the water, athletes headed into transition 1 located at the Barclay Bay Parking Area. Athletes were greeted with a sweeping downhill ride after exiting the Lucky Peak Reservoir area to start their 56-mile bike ride through the greater Boise region. Athletes were treated to a scenic tour of the rural Boise roads and neighborhood streets before ending their bike journey with a downtown finish at transition 2. The popular Boise River Greenbelt Trail played host to the IRONMAN 70.3 Boise run course. The flat, two-loop, 13.1-mile course was packed with shade and spectators as athletes ran along the Boise River to complete their IRONMAN 70.3 journey in downtown Boise.

Scheduled to air on Monday, July 28 at 7:00 a.m. ET, ESPN will feature a special segment of SportsCenter: 50 States in 50 days hosted by Nicole Briscoe, spotlighting the 2025 IRONMAN 70.3 Boise triathlon. In this pre-produced feature, Briscoe explores Boise’s vibrant community, follows several participating first-time athletes, and introduces viewers to the challenge and spirit of IRONMAN racing in the Pacific Northwest.
