The IRONMAN UK Team are looking forward to welcoming you to Leeds, a city draped in history and culture. A city famed for its triathlon heroes, for the first time will host IRONMAN Leeds and you’ll all get to be a part of this SOLD-OUT event.
At IRONMAN we are continually striving to give our athletes the best race experience possible, spectators a great day out and local communities a spectacle to be proud of. The event hub for IRONMAN Leeds will be located in the iconic Roundhay Park, here you will find a huge free car park, Registration, the single Transition area, the Swim, Merchandise and the long red carpet for your finish line. The Swim will be 2x 1.2-mile laps of the calm waters of Waterloo Lake in the grounds of Roundhay Park before making the 300m run to Transition. Heading out onto the bike there will be a couple of technical sections before starting the 3x main loops which take in some spectacular Yorkshire scenery; Thorner Village, Eccup reservoir, Harewood and Arthington to name a few. Returning to Roundhay, you’ll slip on your running shoes and take on the 4x laps which make up the 26.2-mile run course, the streets will be lined with support all pushing you to those final few metres of the red carpet and the IRONMAN Leeds finish arch.
Professionals compete for $50,000 prize purse plus 3MPRO WC slots.
