Leonard Arnold successfully defended his title at Ironman Switzerland Thun 2025, winning after a dynamic battle with Marius Bjerkeset. Bjerkeset had built a significant lead on the bike, even setting a new bike course record, but Arnold closed the gap on the run to take the win. Germany’s Ruben Zepuntke led out of the water and on the bike, but faded on the run. Ruben Zepuntke set a new swim record, Marius Bjerkeset set a new bike course record, and Leonard Arnold set new run and overall course records.
The course featured a one-loop swim in Lake Thun, a challenging two-loop bike course through the Bernese Oberland and a three-loop marathon run, all with the stunning backdrop of the Alps.
