In the Men's race, 2022 HOTW winner Josh Amberger is back to defend his title, while 2 x winner Sam Betten is also back in a quest to win a 3rd title, a feat no male is yet to achieve. However these past winners will have to overcome the largest field of professional men ever assembled to race HOTW, with 22 talented athletes toeing the line.
While the Men's professional field is the largest in the history of the event, the women field is the most highly credentialed, with have seen and will be headlined by none other than World No. 1 Ashleigh Gentle. The world No.1 won't have it all her own way, with in form athlete Ellie Salthouse back to add another HOTW title to her name. Add in 2021 Cairns Ironman Champion Kylie Simpson and two previous HOTW 2nd place getters in Courtney Gilfillan and Meredith Hill the women race will be of the highest quality.
