The Highest Extreme Triathlon In The World Swim - The 3.8km night swim at Lake Phewa near the city of Pokhara will start at 04.00. Wetsuits mandatory. Water temperature averages 15 degrees C. Bike - 175km. Entirely on asphalt, mostly smooth, but surface can be variable and rough in patches. The course will not be closed to traffic, but the roads used are mostly quiet back roads. Climbs from 1,740 metres at T2 to a turnaround at 4,000m altitude, so 'thin air' to contend with, before descending to the finish at 1,400m.
