IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship Professional Women’s Field

The Women’s field will take center stage on Friday, Oct. 28, in St. George, Utah, Washington County, and the surrounding areas as they look to close out the world championship racing in the month of October on a high note. Defending IRONMAN 70.3 World Champion Lucy Charles-Barclay (GBR) looks to defend her crown following an impressive second-place performance at the 2022 VinFast IRONMAN World Championship just a couple weeks ago. Top American and Olympian Taylor Knibb will be one to watch as she burst onto the half-distance triathlon scene at the 2021 Intermountain Healthcare IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship presented by Utah Sports Commission triathlon with an impressive third-place finish. 2020 Summer Olympics Gold Medalist Flora Duffy from Bermuda will join a strong group of women as she looks to leave her mark on the IRONMAN 70.3 space after significant success in short course racing. A large contingent of strong contenders will be coming from Great Britain and includes 2016 IRONMAN 70.3 World Champion and 2019 IRONMAN 70.3 Word Championship runner up Holly Lawrence, 2017 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship runner up Emma Pallant-Browne (GBR), 2021 IRONMAN World Championship fifth place finisher Ruth Astle (GBR), as well as Nikki Bartlett (GBR). Paula Findlay (CAN), Jackie Hering (USA), and many more will all join in the battle for a spot atop the podium.

The best male long-distance triathletes in the world from 12 age groups claimed their respective titles at the 2025 IRONMAN® World Championship triathlon in Nice, France on Sunday, September 14. Nearly 2,500 registered athletes from 86 countries, regions and territories swam 2.4 miles, biked 112 miles, and ran 26.2 miles, in triathlon’s pinnacle event of triathlon. History was made on the Côte d’Azur today, as Casper Stornes of Norway claimed his first IRONMAN World Championship title on debut at the 2025 IRONMAN World Championship in Nice, France, taking home $125,000 USD in professional prize money and 6,000 IRONMAN Pro Series points. Stornes stormed to victory, in a total time of 7:51:39, including running a blazing fast 2:29:25 IRONMAN World Championship best marathon time as he led a Norwegian sweep of the podium. more

Queensland’s Ellie Salthouse (AUS) and Tasmania’s Jake Birtwhistle (AUS) have impressed on their way to victory at the 2025 IRONMAN 70.3 Sunshine Coast, with both athletes breaking the tape comfortably clear of second place on the spectator-lined finish in Mooloolaba. Salthouse completed the 1.9km swim, 90km bike, and 21.1km run in 4:05:10 – more than five minutes clear of Sunshine Coast-based Dutch athlete Lotte Wilms. Canberra’s Penny Slater (AUS) rounded out the podium in 4:12:37. more
