CHALLENGE FAMILY extends focus on China, introduces CHALLENGE WUHAN

Wednesday 01 January 2020

After a last year's very successful inaugural CHALLENGE ANHUI , CHALLENGE FAMILY keeps focusing on China in 2020 and therefore is introducing a brand new race in this triathlon minded region: CHALLENGE WUHAN. This spectacular race will take place on the 24th of May 2020 and gives athletes the possibility to race early season a Middle Distance, Standard Distance and Junior Challenge.

"China is a very interesting market for us", said by CHALLENGE FAMILY’s President Zibi Szlufcik. "Our last race, CHALLENGE ANHUI, reached over 1 million people with only it's live stream, so the potential is huge. We definitely think we can take this to an even higher level with not only CHALLENGE ANHUI, but also the now introduced CHALLENGE WUHAN."

During CHALLENGE WUHAN, athletes dive into Mulan Lake where they will be surprised by the boundless, clear-as-a-mirror waters. The spectacular bike course will directly lead to Mulanshan Scenic Area, with two Laps for the Middle Distance and one lap for the Standard Distance. During the ride athletes go around the lake, crossing amazing nature and including some average climbs. "The venue is very spectacular, includes something for every type of athlete and is a treat you don't want to miss if you love this sport. Not to forget about the very kind people in this region, who will make your stay very pleasant for sure. If you never have been in China before, this is a perfect way to combine your holidays with a race to remember."

Wuhan is already known as one of China's largest cities and many international races were held in this place before. CHALLENGE WUHAN will follow tournaments like the Wuhan Open (tennis, ed.), Military World Games, FIBA Basketball World Cup and many more. "For us it's very interesting to organize a race in this sport minded region. We're pretty sure there will be many spectators around the course to support every athlete on their way to the finish line."
