Since 2004, IRONMAN Western Australia has been a bucket-list race for athletes all over the world. Taking place in the idyllic seaside town of Busselton - the gateway to the famous Western Australia wine region of Margaret River -  'Busso' is renowned for being the place to go for a personal best with one of the flattest and fastest course on the global circuit.

In 2019 IRONMAN Western Australia has an extra 25 qualifying slots to the 2020 IRONMAN World Championships up for grabs. That's a total of 65  slots!

Reigning world champion Laura Philipp and world champion Sam Laidlow have won DATEV Challenge Roth and, in front of several hundred thousand spectators, entered the list of winners of the world's largest long-distance triathlon for the first time. Jonas Schomburg, who had to drop out in Frankfurt a week ago and so entered Roth last minute, came second and for a long time even had his sights set on the top step of the podium. more
