Pro Field Set to Battle at CLASH Endurance Daytona USA

Thursday 01 December 2022

CLASH Endurance, a sports media brand known for its unique, family friendly races at iconic speedways across the United States, announces the complete roster of professional athletes racing at the upcoming CLASH Daytona event on December 2. This year’s list includes a stellar group of both short and long course specialists from around the globe who will battle it out over the unique “Daytona distance” (1mi/1.6k swim, 37.5mi/60.3k bike and 8.2mi/13.2k run). The pro roster includes Olympians, World Champions and those with multiple short/long course titles. Many of these pros also excel in other areas such as being a cellist, running their own podcast, coaching, marine corps, parenting, sports nutrition and much more!

“I’m looking forward to defending my title at CLASH Daytona this year. It’s such a historic venue and a great time of year to have a goal that takes me into December,” says Jackie Hering, returning champion, world-ranked pro triathlete, Mom and U.S. Snowshoe Racing National Champion.

“CLASH Daytona ended up falling nicely into my schedule as I’ve been keen to try a middle-distance race for a while now. I’ve followed this race every year and it looks like a great display of racing and triathlon. This will be my first middle-distance race, so I’m coming in simply excited to try something I’ve never done before and learn from it,” said Pro and 2020 Olympian, Silver medalist in the mixed relay, Kevin McDowell.

Pros will be aiming to capture a portion of the $100K prize purse and a variety of bonuses throughout the course. Live event coverage will air on CLASH Endurance digital channels including Facebook and YouTube. Additionally, the professional event will be showcased during a primtetime broadcast airing on NBC on December 31 at 4 p.m. ET. International and re-air details to come.

“We continue to be amazed by the pros’ performances at our events and it is truly an honor to provide a safe yet challenging experience for them to demonstrate their very best. We recognize how unique the sport of triathlon is and sharing their stories and athletic prowess to audiences in the U.S. and worldwide is part of our mission,” says Bill Christy, CEO of CLASH Endurance.
