Not only do you have to do an extra 2 miles on the bike compared to a typical Half Iron, but you also have to deal with a starting altitude of 4359 feet above sea level and you gain an additional 2814 feet of elevation during the bike course. Plus you're also typically dealing with high temperatures so once you cross the finish line, it's quite an accomplishment and definitely not for the faint of heart!
