Race2Rebuild, the endurance charity racing organization founded by athletes after Hurricane Sandy, will bring two relay teams to Challenge Family’s inaugural US race, Challenge Atlantic City to race and raise $25,000 to bring a family home. Headlining the relay teams are 2X Ironman World Champion Mirinda Carfrae and Tara Costa from NBC’s The Biggest Loser. Why: Once the immediate crisis of a disaster has passed, a community’s long term recovery can take years. Rebuilding Together is committed to this recovery process, rebuilding neighborhoods and helping families return home. Thousands of families in the New York and New Jersey area are still recovering from Hurricane Sandy, including Atlantic City.
