Kiwi triathlon star Hayden Wilde showed his class today in Nice, France, winning the 2026 Precision Fuel & Hydration IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship against one of the best fields ever assembled in this iconic event’s 20-year history. Wilde was 22nd out of the water, just 16 seconds down on the leader Seth Rider (USA). The day started as expected with Laidlow and Perez Sala taking early leads, but it soon became a race full of surprises. Ultimately, it was Laidlow and van Coevorden who took the wins in 3:34:57 and 3:58:41 respectively Ognjen Stojanovic led out the water in 23:07 with Henri Schoeman (RSA) and Emil Holm (DEN) hot in his heels with Laidlow in fourth nine seconds down. Taylor Knibb (USA) has dominated the field to win the 2026 Precision Fuel & Hydration IRONMAN® 70.3® World Championship in Nice France, claiming her fourth world title on Saturday. Knibb was untouchable as she took control of the race early on the bike and never looked back, crossing the line to win the World Championship in 4:19:24, more than four minutes ahead of Julie Derron (CHE), with Alanis Siffert (CHE) third. more
