Team Erdinger athletes are ready to race this weekends competitions in the Canary Islands and the United States. While Sonja Tajsich, Lucy Gossage , Michael Goehner and Christian Brader are at Ironman Lanzarote, Eva Wutti and Juliet Gajer Line up at Ironman Texas.
In Lanzarote Sonja Tajsich is back to full strength after a long injury break. She starts at the Canary Island her first meaningful race since a 4th place finish at the Ironman World Championship 2012. Her professional long distance started here 10 years ago with a podium finish, a good omen.
Also on the Island to build on recent success is British power house Lucy Gossage, who already celebrated a successful debut season event with the 2nd place at Ironman South Africa.
For team-mate Michael Goehner the season starts on Lanzarote. After his podium finish at Ironman Wales last year, this race will be a continuation to collect points in order to reach the World Championship in Hawaii.
This weekend sees Eva Wutti racing in the USA for the first time. The 25 year old Austrian will use this race as a springboard to her main event, the Ironman Germany in Frankfurt in July. Eva overachieved last year with victories at the Ironman Challenge Copenhagen and Barcelona and hope once again to show her true value and take a podium place.
Julia Gajer the reigning German champion in the middle and long distance lines up in Texas being no stranger to the USA having won Ironman Arizona in 2013.
