Dan Halksworth, currently one of the UK’s best long-distance triathletes, is to strengthen Team ERDINGER Alkoholfrei with immediate effect. He will be joining Lucy Gossage in promoting the refreshing, isotonic ERDINGER Alkoholfrei in the UK. His career to date is extraordinary with two Ironman UK victories in the last two years. Equally impressive were his second place in the prestigious Challenge Fuerteventura (2012) and third place in the Koh Samui Triathlon (2013). His first event representing Team ERDINGER Alkoholfrei will be Ironman 70.3 Mallorca on Saturday 10th May.
“As an athlete and a person, Dan makes a great addition to our team. I’m sure he’ll make quite a splash and together with his teammates help put the spotlight on ERDINGER Alkoholfrei,” says Florian Sosna, Head of Sponsoring at ERDINGER Alkoholfrei. Waltraud Kaiser, Export Director of Privatbrauerei ERDINGER Weißbräu, is equally delighted: “ERDINGER Alkoholfrei is enjoying growing popularity among endurance athletes and consumers in the UK as well. We therefore plan to intensify our marketing activities here in the coming years in order to strengthen our brand presence.”
Dan Halksworth will find himself in good company at Team ERDINGER Alkoholfrei. The community is the sporting home for numerous triathlon professionals, such as world record holder Andreas Raelert, two-times Ironman 70.3 world champion Michael Raelert and multiple Ironman winner Sonja Tajsich. The community also includes over 400 ambitious amateur athletes in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the UK who enjoy the benefits of an ERDINGER Alkoholfrei sponsorship.
ERDINGER Alkoholfrei is one of the major promoters of endurance sports and this is illustrated by its continued support for UK events in 2014. Athletes crossing the finishing line at such events as London Triathlon, Outlaw and the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research Blenheim Triathlon can celebrate their victory with a refreshing glass of ERDINGER Alkoholfrei.
