On a day with near perfect conditions, Kiwi Mike Phillips claimed his third ANZCO Foods IRONMAN New Zealand title in a new course best time, while Australia’s Regan Hollioake won her third IRONMAN title on the bounce. Two years on from his last victory in Taupo, Phillips executed a top-class performance to lower the previous course best time by nearly 10 minutes as he took the tape in 7:45:47. more
The men’s professional race at the 2025 ANZCO Foods IRONMAN New Zealand is set to be a tightly contested affair, as former champions come up against a host of race debutants and rising stars. Two-time IRONMAN New Zealand champion Mike Phillips (NZL) will line up in Taupo on Saturday wearing the number one bib in the men’s field. His last win came two years ago but a third win will not be easy to come by, with a number of experienced athletes and talented youngsters on the start line. more
This Saturday, ANZCO Foods IRONMAN New Zealand returns to kick off the 2025 season of IRONMAN racing, with a number of international professional triathletes travelling to Aotearoa New Zealand to compete for the women’s title. British athlete Fenella Langridge (GBR) is set to make her IRONMAN New Zealand debut this weekend.
