Panama City Beach, Florida set to host longstanding IRONMAN event on Nov. 6. The 2021 Visit Panama City Beach IRONMAN Florida will offer a total professional prize purse of $100,000 USD for the men’s and women’s races, attracting some of triathlons best athletes including 2021 Little Debbie’s IRONMAN Chattanooga presented by McKee A Family Bakery Champion, Skye Moench (USA), Multi-time IRONMAN champion, Heather Jackson (USA) and 2021 IRONMAN Coeur d’Alene champion, Carrie Lester (AUS).

Men’s pro race added following the cancellation of IRONMAN California last month. Reigning two-time defending IRONMAN 70.3 World Champion, Gustav Iden (NOR), multi-time IRONMAN champion Lionel Sanders, and 2021 IRONMAN Copenhagen winner Cameron Wurf (AUS), and Justin Metzler (USA) among others to toe the start line in Panama City Beach.

2021 Panama City Beach IRONMAN Florida will offer 75 age-group qualifying slots to the 2022 IRONMAN World Championship in held in Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i in October.

Visit Panama City Beach IRONMAN Florida will lead athletes along a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike and 26.2-mile run through and around the emerald-green waters of the Gulf of Mexico, on an iconic flat and fast course, highlighting Panama City Beach, the intercoastal waterway, breathtaking views of the shoreline and an electric finish line at the Russell-Fields Pier.

American Taylor Knibb cemented her name in the history books yet again as she took her third consecutive title at the 2024 VinFast IRONMAN® 70.3® World Championship with an overall finish time of 3:57:34. Knibb swam 24:30 over the 1.9 km (1.2-mile) ROKA swim course, biked the 90km (56-mile) FulGaz bike course in 2:10:09, and ran a 1:19:20 on the 21.1km (13.1-mile) HOKA run course to finish among cheering crowds on Tongariro Street in the heart of Taupo. more
