In a first for Australia, IRONMAN 70.3 Western Sydney will host the IRONMAN 70.3 Asia-Pacific Championship, with triathletes from all over the globe set to compete at the at foothills of the Blue Mountains on Sunday 26 November.
The course is nestled at the base of the Blue Mountains and will utilise the iconic Penrith Lakes, located at the International Regatta Centre, for the swim. The bike course include breathtaking views of the Blue Mountains. The brand new flat, scenic run course that was debuted and loved in 2016, takes in Penrith’s Nepean River along the Great River Walk, before runners return to the iconic Sydney International Regatta Centre venue to celebrate down the finish chute.
There are 60 qualifying slots to the 2018 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship, to be held in Nelson Mandela Bay, South Africa.
Professionals compete for P-1500 points plus $75,000 prize purse.
