One of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Germany will host the second edition of Challenge Regensburg on August 13th 2017.
The UNESCO World Heritage City of Regensburg wants to give triathletes a spectacular stage: The beautiful and picturesque historic center is always a pulsating and busy spot. When thousands of athletes cross the finish line between the Danube and Cathedral Square, an overwhelming atmosphere will be guaranteed.
Challenge Regensburg kicks off at Lake Guggenberger See, which is a popular recreational area about ten miles from Regensburg. The 3.8km swim can be easily watched by all the spectators with good proximity to the athletes.
The three-loop 180km bike course goes through the beautiful and diverse landscape of the Bavarian Forest Nature Park. Stunning views and cheering spectators, waiting at various hotspots for the athletes, will help the 180km and 600 meters of elevation pass quickly.
Huge crowds will cheer you along the four-loop running course in the heart of Regensburg. Along the Danube and through the historic streets of the town center athletes will run 42.2km before crossing the finish in the shadow of the dome of St. Peter.
