70.3 Taiwan is in the East Coast of Taiwan, one of the most popular destinations in Asia-Pacific, on Sunday, March 19 2017. The race will be held in the stunning town of Taitung for the second year after the successful festive triathlon weekend in 2016.
First held in 2010, the IRONMAN 70.3 Taiwan has become a premier event. After having six IRONMAN 70.3 Taiwan events at the fantastic location in Kenting, the event has been moved to the East Coast of Taiwan for the first time in 2016. The festive weekend hosted with 5150 Taitung received positive feedback from athletes from all around the world. IRONMAN 70.3 Taiwan and 5150 Taitung will take place on March 18 & 19, 2017.
The one-lap swim course takes place in Flowing Lake. After the swim, the bike and run courses take competitors along the coastline of Taitung to visit the beauty of eastern Taiwan.
There are 30 qualifying slots to the 2017 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA.
Professionals compete for P-500 points and $15,000 prize purse.
