DESCRIPTION:Located in the centre of an island district, the tradition-rich coastal city of Gunsan will host CHALLENGEGUNSAN-SAEMANGEUM on 30th June 2019.  The middle-distance race will provide athletes with a stunning bike and run course along the world’s longest 33.9km-long Saemangeum seawall, which connects the famous island district “Star above the Lake” with the mainland. “CHALLENGEGUNSAN-SAEMANGEUM´s beautiful coastline, natural heritage sites and the local´s hospitality will bring a wonderful experience to athletes from all over the world”, said Minseung Kim, CHALLENGEGUNSAN-SAEMANGEUM´s race director. Moreover athletes will benefit from a spectacular and safe swim course in the Yellow Sea and the wide and smooth roads while they ride through a scenic setting of
63 inhabited and uninhabited islands.
