Liz Blatchford will be racing with bib #1 this weekend at the 10th Anniversary of Husky Long Course Triathlon Festival, in an event first having the elite females starting with the first number sequence. Liz Blatchford has held the Female title for the past 2 years, alongside her on the start line will be Rebekah Keat (who holds the female course record for the run leg), Lisa Marangon, Matilda Raynolds, Michelle Wu, Andrea Forrest, Jessica Mitchell and Jessica Simpson.
The “Husky” Long Course Triathlon Festival is now established as one of Australia’s most beloved Long Course events. Over 9,000 long course athletes have crossed our finish line since the first race in 2006, and it contnues to be one of the most antcipated events on the triathlon calendar.
But this event is more than just a long course triathlon. It is a true festival with a packed weekend program that includes Sprint and Enticer distance triathlons, an Ocean Swim, Fun Runs, MINIMAN kids’ triathlon, and our biggest ever Health & Lifestyle Expo.
Huskisson, and in fact the whole Shoalhaven area, is a spectacular spot to race and holiday with great local cafes and restaurants, coupled with a full range of accommodation from camping, cabins, motels through to beach front homes. There is something for everyone in this part of the world.
