For the second time, the IRONMAN 70.3 European Championship will be held in Denmark and the historic city of Elsinore. Home of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Elsinore plays host as athletes become an IRONMAN 70.3 European Champion.
The swim course takes place right in front of the legendary Kronborg Castle, when the athletes swim 1.9 kilometers one loop course in the majestic harbor. After exiting the swim , athletes will enter the transitions zone, grab their bikes and start a one loop Continental Tire bike course around the lovely North Zealand. The 90 kilometers Continental Tire bike course will take the athletes to a journey along the coast line, through the country side, finishing once again in the city center. After the second trip into the transition zone, the athletes will begin their last leg of the day. The stunning 21.1 kilometers run course takes you through old Elsinore city, finishing every loop along the majestic Kronborg Castle.
The 2018 KMD IRONMAN 70.3 European Championship Elsinore will offer 75 qualifying slots to the 2018 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship.
Professionals compete for P-1500 points plus $75,000 prize purse.
